Intro to Tibetan Medicine with the Sorig Institute
This class opens the door into the vast, profound world of Tibetan Medicine. All aspects of the healing system are introduced in simple, yet comprehensive terms using the visual system of metaphorical trees. This unique method follows the format of the Root Tantra, the first text studied by Tibetan doctors for centuries.
Classes will be conducted by Eric Rosenbush of the Sorig Institute. He is a senior student of Dr. Nida Chenagstsang. Eric Rosenbush, LAc. has been learning and practicing traditional healing sciences since 1997, both in Asia and in the USA. This has included an independent BA degree in Ancient Religions and Sciences from UCSC, MSTCM in the study of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine at ACTCM in San Francisco, and traditional study of Jyotisha with Pt. Sanjay Rath in India. Prior to beginning his formal training in Tibetan Medicine with Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, he had a background in Tibetan religion, culture, and language through extended travels in the Himalayan and high plateau regions.
